Rio is an Associate in the firm's Corporate, Commercial and Capital Markets Practice Group. He advises various Indonesian enterprises on a range of corporate, commercial, capital markets and regulatory matters, including M&A and joint ventures. Rio has wide-ranging expertise in equity capital markets and corporate transactions, particularly within the context of IPO and right issue, in addition to his experience in corporate and debt restructuring, regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters including legal due diligence.

His active end-to-end involvement in multiple successful IPOs of Indonesian companies, which includes the relevant stakeholder engagement with the Financial Services Authority throughout the IPOs, has equipped him with in-depth knowledge of securities and stock exchange-related regulatory requirements. He has also been involved in various asset transfers, infrastructure, construction and public utility projects of large Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise (SOE), including PAM Jaya, Jakarta-owned drinking water company, and Nusantara Capital City Authority, a cabinet-level agency formed by the Indonesian government that is tasked with managing and governing the city of Nusantara, the future new capital of Indonesia.

Over the last few years, his experience spans many industry sectors, having advised local companies and foreign investors on commercial transactions, general corporate, acquisitions and regulatory matters in the financial services, fintech, real estate and healthcare industries. Rio is known for his ability to explain complex issues in simple, practical terms with an instinct to offer pragmatic solutions, thereby offering clients technically assured, innovative and commercially focused advice for their strategic deals and business needs.
